Today's Horoscope

"If You Play Your Cards Right"- A. Myers

Here is my horoscope today (taken from Yahoo! Horoscopes):

"When other people are stuck in the two-steps-forward, one-step-back dance, you're pretty good about sidestepping and coming up with other creative lateral moves. Nonetheless, the recent lack of progress in a certain area has you frustrated. The good news is, your frustration actually has you devoting some concentration to the issue -- and that, combined with a little boost from the stars, can finally get you moving in the right direction again."

Now, I like horoscopes. I read them daily and take what I can from them, and discard what is not relevant to my life at all. But every now and then, a particular horoscope reading is spot on.

This is one of those times! I mean it is just so timely.

A couple days ago, my good friend Q, who lives in Washington DC, said that I am not the same care-free, live-in-the-moment person I used to be.

He is right. We have known each other for 9, going on 10 years and when we first met, I was young and experiencing life on my own terms for the first time. Everything was a new experience and I LOVED everything that life had to offer. The good, the bad and the ugly. I felt like every experience left me a little wiser, a little stronger, a little bit more well-rounded.

Well, as the years have progressed, stuff started not making sense to me. Things became unbalanced. 

There is no need to discuss all of the things that are unbalanced. That is for me to deal with privately, but Q's statment prompted me to think about what he said (even though I had already known this-- I have to admit that it felt good for someone so close to me to take the time to call me out in a loving, concerned way).

What I will say is that I feel a little better now that I am committed to putting positive energy into making things better. My current frustration concerning the way I have allowed my life to turn out, once redirected, will give way to something beautiful.

Wait and see.
